Burlington, Vermont

Still editing this post! :)

Girls Trip for my sister’s 40th birthday! It was my mom and my 3 sisters and me!

Things to Do:

  • Beach - we didn’t end up doing this because we didn’t have time but we walked by it and it looks awesome!

  • Hiking - Redrocks Park South Burlington

  • Farmers Markets and other shopping (multiple plus downtown is fun to walk)

  • Make sure to get creamies (fro-yo) from this place that is the back of a laundromat. “Little Gordo Creemee Stand” 71 S. Union St., Burlington, VT 05401

    • Try the maple creamie (a staple!). Tasted like the milk from a maple cereal. Reminded me of the maple oatmeal squares. We also got passionfruit, mango coconut swirl. They rotate flavors so just try the ones they have! We loved every one that we got and talked about going back to get more.

  • Dinner Cruise

  • Ben & Jerry’s Ice Cream Tour

  • Pop over to Montreal, Canada - walk around and go to the church

Restaurants:

  • The Friendly Toast (breakfast) - 4/5 this place was delicious! We got fried cinnamon toast sticks and I had the biscuits and gravy. Very flavorful and a great experience overall.

  • Burlington Hearth (Pizza) 4/5 - Pizza was good but it took a really long time for it to come out. Nice atmosphere, we at outside. “Medicine Wheel” pizza.

  • Chocolate place for truffles

  • The Wise Fool (Greek food) - interesting 3/5. Food was pretty good but not my favorite place that we ate while on the trip

  • Cookie Stefanie (in Canada) - 4/5 got a couple of treats and also a bacon, apple grilled cheese YUM

  • Angelini Cafe (Canada) - 4/5 Gelato was delicious. We also got a panini and the merignue.

  • Bistro Modavie (Canada) - 5/5 AMAZING food. We tried the rack of lamb, filet mignon and the truffle risotto. All really delicious flavors and sauces. We also tried the creme brulee and cheesecake. The cheesecake was my favorite. Best meal of the trip!

  • Al’s Ice Cream (and burgers) - 3/5 very quaint, cute 50’s style diner. The burger was decent but would recommend getting the black raspberry creamie with oreos!

Where to Stay:

We got an Airbnb that was very close to downtown. It made it easy to quickly drive wherever we needed and then walk around.
